1969 - 1971 Las Vegas Poker Themed Malcolm Starr International Designed by Rizkakallah Yellow Maxi Skirt For Lintons of PA Size 12

So RARE!! Exquisitely constructed in a riot of VIVID colors! Malcolm Starr International designed by Egyptian designer (Jousef) Rizkallah bright yellow maxi skirt for Lintons of Squirrel Hill and Pittsburgh. Las Vegas/Deck of cards/Poker theme A-line with hidden pockets. Black wool flannel waistband with applied white/cream rectangles flow into a heavily pleated vivid yellow skirt with plenty of room at the hips.

A set of large vibrantly colored playing card are represented in 3 diamonds with teal borders and orange centers, two Spades one in solid teal and the other with teal border lovely lavender center, a Heart with purple center and black border, 1 Club with a magenta center and black border--representing all four suite in a deck seven in all and in fine color! Another wide band of applied matching black felt with cream/white rectangles appears beneath the skirt which finished with a VIBRANT ORANGE applied banded hemline backed with gray muslin to give the skirt body and shape. Seven in all--3 Diamonds, 2 Spades, 1 Club and 1 heart.. The yellow body of the skirt appears to be a heavy cotton. Yellow lining. Yellow synthetic lining. Hidden back nylon zipper and metal Scovill zipper pull with two hook and eye closures Hidden back zipper closure. Lintons served the upper crust of Pittsburgh and Squirrel Hill , PA, finally closing in 2016. Malcolm Starr and Youssef Rizkallah collaborated and served the worlds most famous and fashionable women. Rizkallah was born in Egypt and studied at the Ecole de dessin appliqué and the Ecole des arts decoratifs in Paris. His designs seem to combine that sense of couture lines that he gained in Paris with the color and vividness of his homeland.

Color: VIVID tones of Yellow/Orange/Black/Purple/Teal/Magenta/Lavender
Condition: Good. There us no bleeding of color (common in these Rizkallah pieces) and the colors have not faded in the least. Wool flannel has various moth nips to be expected in wool of this age (see photos) that simply doe not detract from the overall look (see photos on model)
Fabric: Unmarked. Likely wool flannel, cotton twill (guessing on this!) muslin backing, lovely yellow synthetic lining in very good condition.
